Decision made on player’s future at Liverpool after being persuaded with rich contract offer

On August 24th, both Sportitalia and Alyaum reported Al-Ittihad had proposed a super offer to Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.

Last Thursday, Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna stated the 31-year-old could say yes to a deal worth around $500-600m to join the Saudi Arabian club.

It’s said Nuno Espírito Santo’s side have persuaded the Egypt international to join them by offering a lucrative deal for three years.

Their efforts aren’t going to be successful as the report states Liverpool, who have already turned down a €100m bid from the Middle Eastern club, are not in favour of Salah’s exit.

Therefore, the former Chelsea man ‘will not leave’ Liverpool for Saudi Arabia, where the transfer window closes later today.

The website states this is another ‘blow’ to Saudi, who tried to bring the Liverpool player to their country, after losing out on Lionel Messi to MLS side Inter Miami.

Salah has two goals and two assists from four games this season for Jürgen Klopp’s side.
