Julian Nagelsmann’s decision to stay with Germany has pushed Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi back up the list at Bayern Munich.

That’s according to BILD, who say the Brighton manager is on a three-man shortlist at this moment in time alongside Ralf Rangnick and Zinedine Zidane.

They state that after Nagelsmann elected to remain where he is until 2026, that ruled him out of a potential return to Bayern and has left the German giants wondering where they go next.

Now Thomas Tuchel hasn’t ruled out a potential stay, despite announcing his departure earlier this year, but the club are still looking at options to replace him, which have been severely depleted in recent weeks.

Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi and Austria’s Ralf Rangnick are on the list, alongside Zinedine Zidane.

However, according to BILD’s information, there has been no meeting between the French legend and Bayern, only an ‘exchange’. The topic is not a hot one at this moment in time despite him being without a club.

While it’s clear he can lead a big team after his spells at Real Madrid, the reality is he doesn’t speak German and his English isn’t great either so that would pose problems.

Thus, he is not a hot candidate at this moment in time and De Zerbi could be targeted once again, despite recently fully committing himself to Brighton.

Bayern are yet to make a decision but one needs to happen soon so there may be developments, and more worry for the Seagulls after it all appeared to have died down.
