Following reports from the English media saying Jadan Raymond is leaving Crystal Palace for Vitória Guimarães, the Portuguese press finally brings their own take on the situation today.
Newspaper O Jogo writes there’s ‘total agreement’ between the player and the Liga NOS side for a three-year contract.
It’s said the Premier League side are already aware of the deal, and the 16-year-old is making the move as soon as he’s able to take a flight to Portugal.
Raymond is expected to become the third English player to join Vitória Guimarães in the past few years. The club recently signed Marcus Edwards from Tottenham Hotspur and Easah Suliman from Aston Villa.
The teenager’s contract with Crystal Palace expires this summer, so all the Portuguese club will have to pay is a €300k fee for Crystal Palace’s training compensation.
Jadan Raymond has caps for England’s U16 and U17 levels. Vitória Guimarães are first including him in the U23 and reserve squads, but they believe he can become a first team player in the near future.
