As Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers continue to scout many games in Portugal, they certainly wouldn’t miss the chance of watching a good Europa League clash.
As reported by O Jogo on Friday, both clubs were present at the Estádio do Dragão last night, where they saw Porto’s 3-2 win over Feyenoord.
With the result, Porto got the first place in the group and are getting to the knock-out stage. Feyenoord, who finished last, are walking away of the competition with only one win.
Porto striker Moussa Marega may not have scored a goal, but had his performance pretty much praised, with O Jogo saying he had ‘the devil in his body’. Dragons’ goalkeeper Agustin Marchesin also had a very good game, with a ‘historical’ save in the second half.
Some Feyenoord players also had their performances highlighted by O Jogo, especially Jens Toornstra, Sam Larsson and Steven Berghuis, with the latter two scoring the Dutch side’s goals.
Crystal Palace and Wolves are some of the clubs who are keeping regular scouts in Portugal, so they definitely have something in mind. They both scouted several Porto matches this season, although they haven’t been linked to any of the Dragons’ players lately.
