According to Estadio Deportivo, Crystal Palace want to sign Sheraldo Becker in the January transfer and will almost be handed the player on a transfer platter.
The 29-year-old forward has been with Real Sociedad since his move from Union Berlin in January of this year. All in all last season he scored six goals and added four assists across 36 matches.
So far this season, he’s made five appearances and is yet to add to his tally. Becker usually plays as a centre forward, but can operate on either wing.
Estadio Deportivo report Crystal Palace want to get ‘everything sealed’ on the transfer before the January window opens, so Becker could move to them at the beginning of the market.
The Eagles are said to be ‘trying to close’ a deal with Real Sociedad, who won’t put any obstacles in the way of a move and are presented as being quite keen on the whole idea.
That may be because it’s claimed Crystal Palace will pay £10m. La Real only paid €3m, given Becker’s contract was coming to an end at the time.
Whether the Palace approach is the work of the rumour mill or genuine, Estadio Deportivo have made it clear Real Sociedad will sell.
