Crystal Palace have offered €10m plus Christian Benteke for Fenerbahce midfielder Ozan Tufan.
That’s according to FotoMac, who say the Eagles have made a late deadline day bid to sign the player they were heavily linked to earlier in the window.
Reports in Turkey this month named Crystal Palace as big suitors for the midfielder, with several claiming that they had already seen a €10m bid rejected.
It was believed that Fenerbahce were holding out for as much as €15m for their star man, a price it was widely believed Crystal Palace would match at some point.
There’s been few reports over the last week and a half, but FotoMac now say they’ve made a late effort to get a deal over the line.
According to the report the Eagles have offered €10m plus Benteke, whose contract at Selhurst Park expires in the summer, to try and tempt Fener into a sale.
The Super Lig side’s response to this isn’t mentioned, but it is stated that it has created an ‘agenda’ at the club, which would hint that they’re considering their options.
If they are, they may have to convince Benteke, with his agent insisting to Asist Analiz that he won’t be moving today.
“No developments regarding Benteke!” he told them.
“10 years, two times not even looking at Turkey except holidays. After that time does not go anywhere.”
