Crystal Palace and Fiorentina are chasing VfL Wolfsburg’s Aster Vranckx this summer.

On Tuesday, we covered claims from Italy that the Eagles could make a rich offer to the 21-year-old.

Friday’s edition of Corriere dello Sport backs up Crystal Palace’s interest in the midfielder when providing the Serie A side’s current stance.

The newspaper indicates the Italian club won’t have much trouble agreeing terms with the player, who wants to leave Wolfsburg this summer.

Fiorentina are ‘dragging their feet’, likely to try and agree a deal with the German club. Their current position exposes them to a risk of being overtaken by a rival like Crystal Palace.

It’s claimed Oliver Glasner’s side can offer a better financial package than La Viola for the Belgium international.

On the other hand, Crystal Palace, are a ‘less attractive’ option for him from a sporting point of view when compared to Fiorentina, according to the newspaper. This could give the Serie A side an edge over the London club.

Corriere’s report suggests if Vranckx were to somehow end up at Crystal Palace, then it would be only for the money rather than their sporting project.
