According to Russian website Championat, Crystal Palace will make an improved bid to sign CSKA Moscow striker Fedor Chalov.
It had earlier been reported, initially in Russia, that the Premier League side tabled a bid in the region €15m to sign the 21 year old, but his club rejected this offer.
However, Championat today claim Crystal Palace will make a last-ditch attempt to sign Chalov and are ready to offer €25m for the Russian striker.
Palace are in the market for a striker after they recently loaned Alexander Sorloth to Super Lig side Trabzonspor, and the Eagles are now looking to bolster their attacking options before the transfer window closes.
Chalov moving to England could make sense for the player at this stage of his career but Championat haven’t given any information about CSKA Moscow’s stance over this expected offer.
Last season he played 37 games for his club, scoring 17 goals and providing 7 assists.
He is under contract at CSKA Moscow until June 2022.
