Crystal Palace are looking to sign Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos, according to a report in Spain.
The midfielder has the experience of playing in England, from his time at Arsenal. The Gunners took him on a loan deal in 2019 and his temporary stay at the Emirates was further extended was one more season a year later.
Last summer, the 25-year-old returned to the Bernabéu, hoping that the two years spent with Mikel Arteta’s current side had been sufficient enough to convince Carlo Ancelotti to include him in his plans this season.
That, however, hasn’t happened as the Spain international has been restricted to only 67 minutes of action from six matches in all competitions. He hasn’t even started a game for Los Blancos under the former Chelsea manager.
Despite all this, Fichajes.net explain the Eagles are ‘interested in acquiring’ the player’s services.
Patrick Vieira took charge at Selhurst Park in 2021 and ‘bets on possession football’, but the ex-Arsenal man has seen that ‘results have been complicated’.
Therefore, he needs a player who fits into his ideas and this is where Ceballos comes in, and in order to sign him, the English club ‘would seek to offer’ €18m.
It’s even claimed Vieira’s side could offer in excess of the aforementioned figure to Real Madrid, so that it is ‘irresistible for Florentino Pérez’.
Fichajes.net report on Crystal Palace’s plans, but have no information on whether or not Ceballos wants to return to England, where he spent two seasons at Arsenal.
