Crystal Palace remain keen on Torino midfielder Saša Lukić after seeing a bid to sign him in the January transfer window fail.
That’s according to Tuttosport, who cover the Eagles interest in the midfielder today following reports yesterday.
We covered a claim from Tuttomercatoweb that Crystal Palace and Tottenham were both keen on Lukić and that Roy Hodgson’s side had seen a bid turned down in January.
Tuttosport now back that up, stating that Palace ‘have their eyes’ on the midfielder and even ‘made an offer’ to try and bring him to Selhurst Park in January.
They don’t provide the details of this January bid, unfortunately, but it’s claimed they were simply ‘told no’ by those in charge at Torino.
However, their interest has not gone away, and the fact Lukic will be ‘one of the most sought after’ players at the club come the summer transfer window is ‘practically certain’ at this point.
The Italian club are keen to keep hold of him and have told any interested parties that any discussion about a move will be ‘postponed to the summer’.
That means Crystal Palace will have to wait before making their second attempt to get their man after their failed first effort.
