According to German outlet Sportbuzzer, Crystal Palace are interested in VfL Wolfsburg’s Jeffrey Bruma this summer and he ‘should be a prospect’ for the Eagles in the final days of the Premier League transfer window, which close on August 9th.
The Dutch international moved to Germany from PSV Eindhoven in 2016 and has three years left on his contract at the Volkswagen Arena.
The Die Wölfe manager, Bruno Labbadia, needs to trim down his squad by allowing a few of players to leave the club.
Bruma played less than 1000 minutes in the league across 11 matches as the centre-back has struggled with knee injuries over the course of the last season.
The 26 year old defender has already rejected the opportunity to join Fenerbahce because the central defender wants to continue with his current employer.
Wolfsburg sporting director Jorge Schmadtke has confirmed several clubs are interested in Bruma, “but I have nothing on the table, which I have to decide on.”
The defender has played in England while he was on loan at Leicester City from Chelsea in the past and a move to Crystal Palace could be a tempting return.
