Earlier on Wednesday we covered claims from Turkey that Ozan Tufan is on his way to Crystal Palace.
It was strong stuff with the player expected to fly to England and complete a move to the Premier League club. The transfer was described as a loan deal, with Crystal Palace then having a clause to buy Tufan in the summer transfer window for €7m.
Now things sound a lot more complicated.
Turkey’s Fanatik, who originally brought the Crystal Palace news, say a Spanish club have got involved and Tufan could go there instead.
With a move to London not finalised, anything could happen, and these are said to be ‘critical hours’ for the player’s future.
Whilst Fanatik don’t mention which Spanish club are involved, Estadio Deportivo today linked Tufan with Real Betis, which gives the game away.
The Seville newspaper don’t present Tufan to Betis as being close to a deal, and they say Tufan is still trying to negotiate a release from Fenerbahce, making it sound like a possible free transfer.
