For the past month or so, Jorginho’s agent João Santos has given multiple interviews to the Italian media, in which he discussed various possibilities regarding his client’s future.

The midfielder’s contract lasts until 2023 and his representative opened the door to leaving Chelsea after this season, if the Blues don’t offer the 29-year-old a new deal.

Santos even endorsed the idea of the Brazil-born Italy international returning to his former club, Napoli.

On April 1st, the agent ruled out the possibility of Jorginho leaving the west London club in the summer.

Since the agent’s latest interview, the former Napoli star told TNT Sports on Tuesday he has no plans to leave Thomas Tuchel’s side as he’s “happy” at Stamford Bridge.

He played the full 90 minutes in Chelsea’s 2-0 win over FC Porto in the Champions League tie on Wednesday. Sky Italia interviewed Jorginho after the tie, and he expressed his desire to return to his former club, if an opportunity arises.

“When you live at Napoli, you can never forget. I had a wonderful experience and I am very fond of the city and the fans,” he said.

“Now honestly, I’m not thinking about it because my concentration is all on Chelsea. However, if there is the possibility, one day, you don’t know when, to return, of course, I’d like it.”
