Benfica and Liverpool have reached a ‘total agreement’ for the transfer of Darwin Nunez, according to claims from the Portuguese media.

Newspaper Record, who first reported the Reds’ bid on Wednesday, now reports the clubs reached a deal for a total of €100m.

The bid is made up of an initial €80m plus €20m in bonuses, of which €10m are considered to be ‘easy to achieve’.

Record writes that Darwin will soon sign a five-year deal with Liverpool. Officials from the Reds are reportedly drawing up the official documents which will be sent to Benfica and signed ‘as soon as possible’, even though there are still negotiations regarding the payment dates.

The Portuguese newspaper states that Darwin is following the situation from Uruguay’s national team camp, and wants to sort his future in the coming days, before his vacations.

Record once again claims the player became ‘fascinated’ with the atmosphere at Anfield during Benfica’s Champions League clash there, and that helped him decided to play for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

It’s said he told the Eagles his choice some time ago, turning down interest from Manchester United and Newcastle. The outlet claims both Red Devils and Magpies put pressure on ‘the entire day’ on Wednesday with ‘successive attacks’, and couldn’t stop Darwin from moving to Liverpool.
