Antonio Conte is ‘rubbing his hands together’ at prospect of having defender Destiny Udogie at his disposal at Tottenham next season.

That’s according to Tuttosport, who say the Italian cannot wait to work with the 19-year-old following his loan spell at Udinese.

Udogie joined Tottenham in a £16.2m deal from Udinese in the summer but was immediately loaned back to the Italian side so he could be a regular in Serie A this season.

That’s been the case, with him playing a starring role in Udinese’s superb start to the season that has them sitting third and a point off top after seven games of the campaign.

He’s been earning rave reviews for his performances, with Calcio Mercato recently putting him in the top five full backs in the league and even saying he’s matched the far more experienced Theo Hernandez.

Tuttosport say those performances have not gone unnoticed by Tottenham boss Cone, who they say is ‘rubbing his hands together’ at the prospect of having him in his squad next season.

That’s because the defender has been ‘convincing’ both in terms of defending and attacking, making him perfect for Conte’s game.

Like everyone else it seems the Spurs boss is convinced, which sounds like bad news for the likes of Ryan Sessegnon and Ivan Perisic.
