Back on Thursday, we saw Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte being first linked to a comeback to his former club Juventus.
It was journalist Paolo Bargiggia who claimed that in case the Old Lady wait until the end of the season to sack Massimiliano Allegri, then they could go ‘straight’ to the Spurs boss, who ‘can’t wait to return’.
It was also claimed the coach isn’t renewing his contract with the London side.
Well, now the rumours about the Tottenham manager seem to be growing in Italy, because it’s Calciomercato who today write a story about the ‘ghost of Conte’ at Juventus.
With Allegri not doing great, it’s said that in case the team do not improve until the World Cup, then his sacking is a real scenario.
And ‘among the names to be taken into consideration’, there’s the coach who worked there between 2011 and 2014.
Calciomercato write that Conte is currently ‘fine’ in London, but in case a proposal from Juventus arrives, the Tottenham boss ‘would do more than reflect’.
For now, though, it doesn’t seem like a Spurs exit is around the corner, but it could all depend on how the Italian team bounce back from their recent bad results.
