Leicester City and Everton have turned their attention towards Inter Milan’s Ivan Perišić, according to Fussball Transfers.
The winger spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich, and finished his time with the Bavarian club by winning the Champions League in August.
Hansi Flick wanted to retain the 31-year-old, and his side were willing to offer €10m, which was €5m short of Inter’s demand.
Even though reports in Italy have talked about interest from the Bundesliga clubs, FT explains a move to the Premier League is the ‘most likely scenario’. This is when the Foxes and the Toffees get a mention.
It’s claimed ‘there is contact with Leicester City and Everton’, and that’s the only information about the two English clubs in the report.
There’s no clarity on whether Leicester and Everton made contacts with Perišić’s camp or with Antonio Conte’s side.
Having requested €15m from Bayern, Inter would look for a similar fee if they’re to offload Perišić before the window closes.
