As seems to be the case every transfer window, after a lot of hot air, Inter Milan are now trying to raise money from sales to make signings.
With less than two weeks of the summer market left, Inter have decided they don’t want to expose themselves too much to over spending, and would like to bring some money in before completing another big deal.
That sounds like very good news for Chelsea’s chances of getting Antonio Candreva. Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport report there’s confidence from England that Chelsea are set to make a ‘concrete offer’ for the player, and it sounds like it will be accepted.
Inter are looking to sign Patrik Schick from Sampdoria, but they’re facing increasing competition for the 21 year old Czech forward.
Gazzetta very much make it sound like an offer of €25m would make Inter wobble over selling Candreva to Chelsea, so anything above that is going to cause a topple.
Candreva is a 30 year old right sided player, who is said to be of real interest to Antonio Conte.
Inter Milan paid around £20m to Lazio for Candreva last summer, so it’s reasonable for them to look for more, regardless of the player’s age.
