There are concerns in the Swedish media for Watford goalkeeper Pontus Dahlberg following reports from Italy the Premier League side have been offered the chance to sign his compatriot Robin Olsen.
Olsen could be sold by AS Roma this summer after conceding 58 league goals in his debut season with the Serie A side.
Fotboll Direkt have reported on Watford’s links with Olsen and they say this could have an impact on Dahlberg. Since arriving at Vicarage Road 12 months ago the former IFK Goteborg player has struggled to get games for the English side and has yet to make his Premier League debut.
During the last campaign, the 20 year old found himself behind veterans Ben Foster and Heurelho Gomes, even though before his move to Watford there was general belief in Sweden he would be challenging for the No.1 spot.
If Olsen was to be brought in by Watford, Fotboll Direkt say this would have further implications for Dahlberg. However, it could be seen in the opposite way, that the two Swedes could work well together.
