Wolverhampton Wanderers star Rúben Neves is still on Barcelona’s agenda for their next sporting project.
That’s according to Sport, who state the 25-year-old has given ‘all kinds of facilities’ to seal a move to the Camp Nou next summer.
It’s further claimed the La Liga side would have the deal ‘completely closed’ following Xavi Hernández’s decision.
Although the manager wasn’t completely convinced of the Portugal international’s profile, he understands the Wolves player is the most viable option to bolster his side’s midfield.
Neves’ agent, Jorge Mendes, has already presented the deal that is ‘very favourable’ in economic terms to Barca. Wolves valued him at €50m a few months ago, but the current valuation will be much lower if the Catalan club decide to activate his signing.
Sport explain there isn’t a consensus between Barca’s sporting leaders and the coaching staff over signing Neves.
It’s claimed Barcelona have an ‘agreement to incorporate’ the midfielder next summer and are now awaiting Xavi’s decision.
Neves knows first-hand the Spanish giants will make a final decision on him in the coming weeks.
If Barca decide against signing him, Neves will then activate other offers he has from the Premier League to leave Wolves.
