Spanish newspaper Marca claims Atletico Madrid will have a busy day today in regards to transfers, including both incoming and outgoings.
One of the first deals of the day will see Celta Vigo defender Jonny move to Wanda Metropolitano. The two clubs have agreed a €7m fee plus variables for the fullback. He is expected to arrive in Madrid today to complete his transfer.
Once Jonny seals his move to Atletico, the Rojiblanco will allow the 24-year-old join Wolverhampton Wanderers on loan. He is expected to sign for the newly promoted Premier League club on Monday.
Marca claims the salary limit of the Europa League winners has prevented them from including Jonny in their squad for the 2018/19 season.
The report claims there is a ‘total’ agreement for Jonny’s move to Diego Simeone’s side and then a loan transfer to the Molineux Stadium.Only the paperwork and official announcement is pending for the defender to join Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
