Turkish website Sporx claims Serie A clubs are interested in Everton striker Cenk Tosun ahead of the January transfer window.
The Turkish international has yet to start a game for Everton this season and has made just four substitute appearances for Marco Silva’s side.
This has led to speculation about him leaving the Merseyside club in the January transfer window as he’s looking to get regular first-team football ahead of Euro 2020. Tosun’s former club Besiktas are continually said to be interested in re-signing him.
However, Sporx claim Lecce are now interested in the Everton player ahead of the next window as they again look to bolster their attacking options. Tosun’s international teammate and Besiktas striker Burak Yilmaz was linked with the Italian side during the last window but a move never materialised.
Fellow Serie A side Sassoulo are also said to be keen and their sporting director Giovanni Rossi, who’s signed Mert Müldür and Merih Demiral in recent years, is targeting the Everton man.
Tosun is contracted to the Premier League side until June 2022.
