Demiroren News Agency’s chief football journalist Ugur Demirkirdi has confirmed Galatasaray are interested in signing Swansea City forward Wilfried Bony but the club only see the Ivorian as fall-back option ahead of the transfer deadline.
In response to Ibrahim Seten’s (another Turkish journalist) tweet, Demirkirdi has stated Bony is a target for the Turkish club as they are desperately searching for a striker in the final days of the window.
Bony was linked with a move to Galatasaray earlier in the week by Taylan Ertac, who’s acting as a middleman in the attacker’s proposed move to Turkish club. He stated the Swansea City man is keen to continue his career in Turkey, but they needed to wait to see how things unfolded.
Galatasaray have other forward targets at the moment, and things could change in the coming days if they fail to bring anybody in.
Swansea City are also said to be keen to get rid of the player due to his excessive wages and they are willing to let him leave on a free transfer.
