Auxerre, who are fighting against relegation in Ligue 1 these days, are doing whatever they can on the transfer market to get out of their situation, and that includes targeting a AFC Bournemouth player.

They’ve already managed to bring in Han-Noah Massengo from Bristol City on loan, and are trying to do the same with Siriki Dembélé, currently with the Cherries in the Premier League.

The 26-year-old has made six appearances for Bournemouth in the league this season, but with the arriving of more attacking reinforcements, his time will get even more limited, which is why a temporary deal elsewhere would make sense.

That’s why Auxerre, as reported by L’Equipe, are ‘activating themselves to attract on loan’ the winger in order to add some experience to their squad.

Those in charge of transfers at the Ligue 1 club are ‘working’ on bringing him, and the ‘two clubs are negotiating a loan’ for the Ivory Coast born forward.

He arrived from Peterborough a year ago in a €2.6m transfer, but has yet to start a game for Bournemouth this season, with each of his nine appearances being from the bench.
