Last week, it was explained in Italy that Tottenham could end up being a pain in the backside for a couple of Italian clubs.
That’s because Fabio Paratici is at the helm, and he has players he likes, like Leandro Paredes, currently at Paris Saint-Germain.
The idea here is that the Argentina international, currently injured, could be on his way out this summer, and Tottenham were said to be one of the teams who could scupper plans from Inter and Juventus to bring him back to Italy.
Paratici was the main cause, since the director of football was said to be an admirer of what the midfielder was doing back when he was at AS Roma before he went off to Zenit St Petersburg.
Well, if the Tottenham chief is still as much of a fan as he once was, then he’ll be glad to hear the news coming out of France on Monday.
L’Equipe look at the summer the Ligue 1 leaders could have, and one thing is made very clear when it comes to Paredes and Julian Draxler: if a club wants them, the pair ‘will be made available immediately’.
Something for Tottenham and Paratici to think about as the London club will look to bolster their squad some more in the summer to shape it even more to Antonio Conte’s liking.
