Loaned by Leicester City to Torino at the start of the season, midfielder Dennis Praet has mostly held a starting place at the Serie A side when available.
The problem is that a couple of injuries have been making consistency a little difficult.
Currently dealing with a metatarsal issue, the 27-year-old could be out of the rest of the season, and since the permanent move to the Turin side depends on them triggering a buying option, it seems that isn’t happening now.
Newspaper La Reppublica (via Tutto Mercato Web) today writes that Torino shall only keep Praet for one more season in case Leicester City accept a new loan.
There aren’t any details if the Italian side would like to keep the same conditions for the permanent move, as reports said the current option is of €15m.
Praet joined Leicester City on a €19m deal from Sampdoria back in 2019, and left the Foxes after two years there.
Now he still has a contract running 2024, and it will be interesting to see what Brendan Rodgers’ side will decide to do with him this summer.
