Haberturk report Galatasaray are considering making a move for Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck ahead of the next transfer window after it was rumoured this week he will be leaving the Premier League at the end of the season.
Welbeck’s contract with Arsenal is due to expire in June and the Turkish club are hoping they can convince him to join them during the January transfer window.
After selling Bafetimbi Gomis to Al Hilal in the summer transfer window Galatasaray are in the market for a striker and Welbeck is an option. West Ham United’s Andy Carroll has also been linked with a move to the Super Lig club.
Galatasaray are looking to land the England international on a cut price deal and Arsenal may be entertain the idea given he has just over six months left on his contract with the Gunners.
Before his ankle injury in the Europa League, Welbeck was in decent form for Arsenal, scoring 5 goals in 14 appearances.
The seriousness of the injury will rule out the former Manchester United player for the coming months, which questions why Gala would want to sign him in January.
