Arsenal’s interest in Grêmio youngster Gabriel Mec is now being backed up by a second source.
Following an initial report from Globo Esporte saying the Gunners chase the 15-year-old, it’s now time for Lance to say something similar.
The outlet writes there’s ‘harassment’ from Arsenal and Paris Saint Germain for the youngster, and that’s why Grêmio are currently in a hurry to get him protected.
Just like Globo Esporte, Lance also claim there’s a deal for the player’s image rights, while the club can’t sign a professional contract with him until he turns 16.
It’s highlighted that the company who manages Mec’s career is NR Sports, which belongs to Neymar’s dad. And the manoeuvre made by Grêmio is something similar to what Santos did to hold the Brazilian star when he was a youngster.
Lance highlights that Grêmio are giving big attention to the player’s development, as he’s already part of the U-17 team and is expected to soon train with the U-20s.
Arsenal are always attentive to young prospects in South America, and will certainly be watching his evolution.
