Degnand Wilfried Gnonto has impressed at Inter Milan’s academy in 2019.
Earlier in March, he was promoted to their U17 team and the forward netted eights goals and registered three assists in 11 appearances. In the summer, he was promoted to the Nerazzurri’s U18 side.
The 15-year-old’s performances for the Serie A side’s youth teams haven’t gone unnoticed and he’s caught the attention of Arsenal and Newcastle United, according to FcInterNews.
He was included in Italy’s squad for the U17 World Cup and the teenager was the star performer in his side’s 5-0 win over the Solomon Islands, with a brace and an assist in the first match of the tournament.
The Serie A side are aware of the young forward being monitored by the Gunners and the Magpies.
It’s claimed Inter want to fend off English ‘sirens’ and plan to do it by securing Gnonto’s future, and offering him a three-year contract after he turns 16 on November 5th.
Clearly, Inter rate Gnonto highly and don’t want to let go of the talented youngster.
