Argentine side Estudiantes de La Plata could lose several players next month, since many of their contracts expire on the 30th of June.
One of these deals relates to Marcos Rojo, who was loaned out by Manchester United in January on a six-month spell.
Local outlet El Dia brings a story about it today, saying that Estudiantes’ intention is ask the Red Devils for an extension in his contract.
Rojo only made one appearance for the Argentine side, firstly because he struggled with injuries, and then due to the Coronavirus break.
Things have been a little ‘tense’, as El Dia writes. The defender was caught breaking lockdown rules to play cards and smoke with friends, and Manchester United are still to react to that.
It’s said Estudiantes will see if the Old Trafford side want to loan Rojo once again.
Since his contract with Manchester United expires in 2021, the Red Devils are probably extending his deal or linking a new loan to a permanent departure.
