We’re probably covering around three stories about Gerard Delofeu everyday, but that’s because the Italian media won’t stop analysing AC Milan’s chances to land him.
This time, website Calcio Mercato.it managed an interview with journalist Luca Marchetti from Sky Sport 24. The questions were submitted by readers on Facebook and Twitter, and the replies were all published in an only article later on.
Asked about the chances of seeing the Spaniard joining Milan, the journalist said: “Milan are willing to wait even until January 31st. But they hope it’s not necessary since Everton can be smoother in the negotiation.”
The latest reports from Italy have claimed that after Everton rejected a simple loan offer, Milan would now be confident to convince the Toffees by including a buying option at the end of the spell.
An article in today’s edition of Tuttosport has also claimed that Deulofeu has already accepted to join Milan, and the deal would now be only waiting for Ronald Koeman’s approval. But they didn’t mention how much would the Italian side would pay to have the player permanently.
