Manchester City star Sergio Aguero continues to be linked with a return to his former club Independiente.
This a story which has been going on for years now, and even though it doesn’t sound likely at this stage of the striker’s career, it continues to get attention in Argentina.
This time, Fox Sports claims that Independiente vice-president Pablo Moyano is meeting Aguero to talk about the possibility of a return.
It’s said that Moyano has been in Europe for work, and watched Manchester City’s game against Tottenham on Wednesday. Now he would take advantage of the visit to the city to speak with the striker.
A problem is that Manchester City didn’t get the qualification for the Champions League semifinals. Fox Sports says that if Pep Guardiola’s side had won the title, then it would be easier for Aguero to return to Argentina.
Now with the club postponing the dream of a European title for another season, Independiente would have to wait for longer until the 30-year-old decides to move back.
