According to a claim in the Greek media, AEK have turned their attention to Everton’s Sandro Ramirez as they look to bring in a forward before the start of the season.
Last season’s first-choice striker Sergio Araujo is unlikely to return to AEK after his loan spell at the club ended and AEK were looking at Roma’s Ezequiel Ponce.
However, Sdna say a deal for Ponce has stalled and the Greek champions are now looking to sign Ramirez from Everton.
The Greek website report Marco Silva is ready to show the Spaniard the exit door and AEK have made their initial contact with Everton regarding the 23 year old.
Ramirez joined Everton from Malaga at the start of the 2017/18 season but he struggled to adapt to the Premier League and England and spent the second half of last season on loan at Sevilla.
Despite Sdna not reporting whether AEK are looking for a loan deal or permanent transfer, it’s likely the Greek side will try to lease him, just like they did with Sergio Araujo last season.
Sandro is under contract at Everton until 2021.
