Three days ago, Sky Deutschland stated West Ham United have submitted an offer of around €13m for Filip Kostić, while Eintracht Frankfurt are demanding €20m for their star.
Operating mainly as a left wing-back and at times on the left wing, he managed seven goals and 15 assists in all competitions last season.
Juventus have long been looking at the 29-year-old. He seemed close to joining the Serie A side at one point, before the case took a back seat and allowed West Ham to come into the picture.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who state the Old Lady, in their frequent talks with the Serbia international’s agent, Alessandro Lucci, asked what point negotiations with the Hammers are at.
Juve have sent a message, likely to Lucci that they could restart talks which had been paused for a few weeks.
Eintracht Frankfurt’s starting valuation is €15m, while the player needs a net salary of €2.5-3m, including bonuses.
It may not be too late for Massimiliano Allegri’s side. They have resumed contacts, as the Italian club are thinking about Kostić, to further bolster their squad. Juventus will ‘try to overtake’ David Moyes’ side in the transfer race.
It’ll be interesting to see where Kostić will play next term, especially with his deal expiring in 2023 and the German club trying to extend his contract.
