Portuguese side Belenenses have reportedly asked Chelsea if they can keep club loanee Nathan for at least one more season.
The claim is made by outlet O Jogo today. They say that the Libson side have several doubts about the squad for next season, with manager Silas asking players to work for one more week so he can know who to let go.
But Nathan is the only different case. Belenenses are pretty sure they want him to stay for longer, and have already asked Chelsea to extend his loan deal.
O Jogo claims that the good argument the club have is the player’s will. Apparently he’s fine in Portugal and doesn’t seem keen on leaving.
Signed from Brazilian side Atlético-PR in 2015, Nathan is still to have a chance to play for Chelsea. This is his third loan spell after moves to Vitesse and Amiens.
The striker’s contract with the Blues expires in 2020.
