PSV Eindhoven have torn up their loan deal for striker Carlos Vinicius so he can join Fulham on deadline day.
That’s according to Eindhoven Dagblad, who back up reports from Portugal stating that the striker is on his way to Craven Cottage.
Earlier today we covered the Portuguese angle on the striker’s impending move to Fulham, with A Bola, Record and Pedro Sepulveda all reporting that a move was impending.
Eindhovens Dagblad back that up, stating that the Dutch side ‘tears up’ Vinicius’ rental contract despite it containing a compulsory purchase option.
Vinicius joined PSV on loan from Benfica last season but the Dutch side ‘lets him go to England’ and have ‘torn up’ the contract with Benfica to make that happen.
They say this is because the striker was ‘not very successful’ in his role as the second striker with PSV and could not impress, particularly with his ability on the ball.
Thus, they’ve been more than happy to let his loan deal be ripped up and ship him to Fulham, who will be hoping he is more successful in England than he was during his year in the Netherlands.
