Under Claudio Ranieri’s guidance, Leicester City won the title in the 2015/16 season and in his first summer transfer window, he signed Yohan Benalouane from Parma.
Since then, the centre-back has gone on to make 12 starts in the Premier League, while he has four more substitute appearances to his name in the same competition.
He won’t become a club legend.
The Tunisia international’s contract at the King Power Stadium will run down at the end of this campaign.
Despite not making a single appearance for the first time this season, the 31-year-old has attracted interest from other clubs, according to reports.
Italian website Tutto Mercato Web claim Benevento and Verona are interested in the defender, while Pescara have also joined the race for the Foxes player. The latter ‘thinks of’ Benalouane to strengthen their defence.
He knows Italian football very well and a move to Serie B in the winter market will also help Leicester cash in from his sale, at least a little, rather than allowing him to leave for nothing in the summer.
