Fotospor report Besiktas are ready to make another attempt to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers defensive midfielder Romain Saiss.
The Black Eagles were closely linked with a move for the 29 year old during the last transfer window but instead they brought in Arsenal’s Mohamed Elneny on a season-long loan deal.
However, the Super Lig side remain attracted by the Wolves player’s ability to be used in different positions, and Besiktas manager Abdullah Avci is keen to strengthen his squad with the Moroccan international in the January transfer window.
Saiss has reportedly been talking with Fenerbahce’s Nabil Dirar and Galatasaray’s Younes Belhanda about life in Turkey and is impressed with what he’s heard from his international teammates.
The Turkish website also report Besiktas officials will make their move for Saiss when both sides face each other in the Europa League next week.
Saiss has made 10 appearances for Nuno Espirito Santo’s struggling Wolves this season, scoring one goal. He is under contract at Molineux until June 2021, and it’s unlikely the club would be keen on a winter exit.
