According to Turkish journalist Ertan Suzgun, Besiktas have identified Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe as a possible target for next season.
The Turkish side will be looking to strengthen their defence in the summer, with Domagoj Vida looking on the verge of leaving. The Croatian defender has been linked with a move to England for some time.
Suzgun report that the 22 year old is on Besiktas’ radar, and the Black Eagles are preparing to make a loan offer to Manchester United for the player.
The Manchester United academy graduate has made just five Premier League appearances for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side and he could move to a club where he can regularly play next season, with Besiktas said to be an option.
Tuanzebe had a loan spell at Aston Villa last season and could head to Turkey for another temporary move. It would be a surprise move, and with Besiktas allegedly not paying the wages of two loanees this season, Loris Karius and Mohamed Elneny, the youngster would be best advised to think twice.
His contract with Manchester United will expire at the end of June 2022.
