According to a claim in the Turkish media, Besiktas have tabled an offer to re-sign their former player Cenk Tosun from Everton.
The Turkey international has been linked with the Istanbul club in recent weeks after falling out of favour with Everton boss Marco Silva.
Takvim have reported on the latest development with regards to Besiktas’ pursuit of Tosun and they say the Super Lig club have made an offer to Everton’s hierarchy to take the player on loan until the end of the season.
With Alvaro Negredo leaving the club in the summer and Vagner Love on the verge of returning to Brazil the Turkish club have made it one of their priorities to bring in a No.9 in the next transfer window.
The Turkish media outlet report Besiktas president Fikret Orman wants to enter into talks with Tosun’s agent and explore the possibility in bringing his client back to Turkey in the new year.
Tosun started the season in the Everton starting line-up but in recent weeks the forward has found himself on the bench.
