After their failed attempts to sign Newcastle United target Vincent Aboubakar, Besiktas are looking at other alternatives, and Fotomac say Swansea City’s Fernando Llorente is a serious option for the Turkish club.

Fotomac have claimed Besiktas have already approached Llorente’s agent, and initial talks were said to be positive. If Llorente says ‘Yes’ to Besiktas then the Turkish champions will try to negotiate a transfer fee with Swansea City.

The Turkish newspaper has reported Besiktas manager Senol Gunes sees similarities between Llorente and their former striker Mario Gomez, and he’s made it clear to the board he’s open to working with the Swansea City player if he completes his move to the Vodafone Park.

Earlier today we reported Besiktas’ pursuit for Aboubakar has stalled due to Newcastle United’s interest in the Cameroon international.

Newcastle are reported to be in advanced talks to sign the Porto forward, and a move to St James Park could materialise this summer.
