Turkish newspaper AMK Spor claim Fenerbahce are still interested in signing Marco van Ginkel from Chelsea despite the player sustaining an injury to his right knee.
Van Ginkel enjoyed a fantastic season at PSV Eindhoven last year under the management of Phillip Cocu, and there were reports in the Turkish press stating Dutch coach wants to work with the Chelsea midfielder again.
Cocu was recently recently installed as the new Fenerbahce manager as is looking to recruit in this transfer window.
AMK Spor say after Van Ginkel’s injury, Fenerbahce will examine the medical reports of the player and then they will decide whether to make a move for him.
The Turkish giants are also in talks with Jack Wilshere over a potential move and AMK Spor say Cocu is looking to work with the two players next season.
Van Ginkel scored 14 goals for PSV last season and is under contract with Chelsea until 2020.
