Manchester United winger Facundo Pellistri is ‘still in the picture’ at FC Twente as they look to continue bolstering their squad this summer.
That’s according to Voetbal International, who report that the Dutch side are ‘still hoping’ to get the Uruguayan through the door.
Reports throughout this summer have indicated that Twente are keen on Pellistri this summer and that Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag, who once worked at the club, had even recommended to the player and his representatives that he move there.
A deal has not progressed despite that, though, with Pellistri remaining at Old Trafford despite his prospects of game time being limited next season.
He has other options this summer and appears to be exploring those before making a decision on where to go, but that’s not put off Twente.
VI report that they are ‘still hoping’ to get the winger but are aware that whether they can get him will only become clear ‘in the coming weeks’.
They need to be patient and wait for Pellistri, and perhaps even Manchester United, to make a decision and are willing to sit and wait for that to be made.
