Over the past couple of weeks, there’s been a growing idea in Italy that Milan could bring back Tiemoué Bakayoko from Chelsea.
The Serie A side know the defensive midfielder well from his time spent on loan with them during the 2018-19 campaign, and even if things were difficult at first, he eventually became a key member of Gennaro Gattuso’s plans.
This season hasn’t gone as well with AS Monaco, and with the player far from Frank Lampard’s plans, a move this summer is likely to be on the cards.
The midfielder ‘doesn’t want to stay in England’, leaving him with options across the Channel, and he ‘isn’t lacking suitors’.
As for Chelsea in all of this, they reportedly are prioritising a ‘definitive transfer’ rather than another loan, and will likely want a large chunk of their initial €40m expenditure back in the process if they can.
