Despite being an important part of David Wagner’s side at Norwich City, Adam Idah could find himself the subject of a late transfer window saga.

That’s because Hellas Verona, who have just sold Milan Djuric to Monza for €2m, need to replace the 33-year-old, and Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting that the Ireland international is the man they are focusing on.

With six goals in 28 appearances in the Championship for Norwich this season, the 22-year-old has been used as a mix of a starter and an impact substitute, and it will be interesting to see how he reacts to a club who could guarantee him constant minutes.

So far, talks don’t appear to have started, as Gazzetta write that Hellas Verona have only ‘spotted’ Idah as the replacement for Djuric, seemingly impressed by his ‘imposing physique’.

Whether Norwich would be ready to let Idah go isn’t stated, but considering his usage this season, they might be reluctant to, just in case something were to happen to Ashley Barnes or Josh Sargent in what could be a very important run-in to the campaign for the Canaries.

Wagner’s side currently sit ninth in the league after 29 games, just two points off sixth placed Coventry, who have a game in hand.
