Fotomac claim Besiktas have identified two strikers and one of them will join the Super Lig side when the January transfer window opens.
It’s reported Slovan Bratislava’s Andraz Sporar and Aston Villa’s Jonathan Kodjia are the two main candidates for Besiktas. According to Fotomac, signing Kodjia at this stage is likelier than the Istanbul club bringing in Sporar.
Sporar’s club Slovan Bratislava are likely to demand a ‘significant fee’ for the Slovenian striker, but Fotomac say Villa are happy to let Kodjia leave in the next window.
The player will be out of contract at the end of the season and the Premier League side could look to cash-in before they lose him on a free transfer.
The Ivorian striker has been a bit-part player for Dean Smith’s side this season and may look to move to another club to get more regular first-team football.
With the summer arrivals Kodjia has found himself down the pecking order and subsequently has rarely featured.
