Over the past few days, reports coming out of the British press stated Sampdoria have an interest in signing Celtic’s Ryan Christie.
The Serie A side’s interest in the midfielder is also highlighted in Italy by Tutttosport on Sunday.
When talking about the potential incomings at the Serie A side, the outlet mentioned the Hoops player.
It’s claimed Sampdoria chairman Massimo Ferrero is ‘aiming to sign’ Ange Postecoglou’s man in the summer window.
That’s about the only piece of information stated about Christie in the report focusing on Sampdoria’s plans for this window.
Having arrived at the Parkhead in 2015, the Scotland international has done well for Celtic over the last few years. He managed seven goals and 15 assists across all competitions in the last campaign.
The 26-year-old has entered his final year of contract and failure from Celtic to extend his deal could see them risk losing him on a free next year.
With Sampdoria showing interest to acquire Christie’s services, Celtic may be forced to offload the player in the ongoing window, if he has decided not to renew his contract.
