Brazilian side Internacional are set to turn their attention to Manchester City owned striker Nahuel Bustos, according to local reports.
UOL today explains that following a rejection from Boca Juniors centre-forward Dario Benedetto, the Colorado are now set to go for their alternative.
It’s claimed Inter have a ‘totally positive’ evaluation of the Manchester City player, as his characteristics would fit their playing style. Plus his salary is also something they can afford.
According to UOL, the Brazilian club should now ‘intensify’ negotiations in the coming days. Their idea is to have him on loan ‘at least’ until next summer.
Despite belonging to Manchester City, Bustos is one of the many players who never really got a chance of making it with Pep Guardiola’s side. He was signed from Argentine side Tallares in a €6.5m deal in 2020, and spent the last two years on loan at Girona.
The striker has a record of 15 goals and five assists in 82 appearances for the Spanish club, and given he’s unlikely to have chances with the Premier League side, he now has this opportunity of moving to South America again.
