Following rumours from last year, it seems Atlético Mineiro continue to be interested in Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz.

This story is today brought back by journalist Thiago Fernandes, who features some details of this chase to Goal Brasil.

It’s claimed that Atlético hold their interest in Muniz and are preparing an offer to land the Fulham striker next year.

According to Goal Brasil, the Brazilian club are still to open fresh talks with the Whites or the player’s staff to know the conditions for a deal.

Still, Atlético’s idea is to spend something around €4m on the signing, letting Fulham keep 50% of a future transfer. That’s how much the London side demanded in the summer talks.

With Muniz playing little, the Belo Horizonte side believe his valuation has not gone up, and will keep that price as a reference.

Despite Fulham’s effort to keep the player last summer, he’s only had 302 minutes in six appearances this season, and didn’t contribute to any goals.

His contract with the Whites runs until 2026, with an option for an extra year, and maybe a return to Brazil could be a good solution for all parties.
