Italian side Lazio believe West Ham United could be the ‘biggest danger’ to them as they eye up a potential deal for Bologna’s Jerdy Schouten.

That’s according to Corriere di Bologna, who believe that it ‘will be impossible’ for Bologna to keep their player if West Ham show concrete interest.

They explain that Schouten is a ‘hot name’ on the transfer market at this moment in time, with Lazio fans of the midfielder and eyeing a move as they look to bolster their own squad.

However, they feel there is a danger West Ham could enter the market for him as they look to reshape their midfield once Declan Rice moves to Arsenal.

They’ll get over €100m from that deal so have money to burn and Bologna believe that keeping a player who Thiago Motta has deemed non-transferable ‘will be impossible’.

At the moment West Ham are yet to make their move for the player but that is seemingly because they are focused on dealing with the Rice situation before turning to incomings.

When that happens Schouten could be on their list and if he is, both Lazio and Bologna believe they are unlikely to be able to keep him out of their grasp.
